1. About us
StudyTracker AI is operated by Danial Rehman ("we", "us", "our"). By using studytrackerai.co.uk and any associated services, you ("you", "the user") agree to these Terms.
2. The service
StudyTracker AI provides:
- AI-generated study plans based on your assignment brief
- Task organisation using AI
- Deadline reminders via email
- Progress tracking tools
The service is available on three plan tiers: Free, Starter (£3/month), and Pro (£7/month).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use StudyTracker AI. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. The service is designed for personal, non-commercial, educational use.
4. Your account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- Any activity that takes place under your account
- Ensuring the information you provide is accurate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. AI-generated content
Our study plans and task lists are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude). You acknowledge that:
- AI output may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific needs
- You should review all generated plans and use your own judgement
- We do not guarantee that any study plan will result in academic success
- AI-generated content is a tool to assist you, not a substitute for your own effort and academic integrity
Academic integrity: You are responsible for ensuring your use of StudyTracker AI complies with your institution's policies on AI assistance. We do not generate assignment content — we help you plan your own work.
6. Uploaded content
When you upload files or images, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share that content with us
- The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- You are not uploading anything illegal, offensive, or harmful
Your uploaded content is processed by our AI service to generate your plan. We do not claim ownership of your content.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use StudyTracker AI to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
- Overwhelm our systems with excessive automated requests
- Upload malicious files
8. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans (Starter and Pro) are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to provide accurate billing information, pay the applicable monthly fee on time, and Stripe's terms of service.
Cancellations: You may cancel at any time via your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for full details.
Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price changes by email before they take effect.
9. Free plan limitations
The Free plan provides limited access to features. We reserve the right to modify free plan limits at any time with reasonable notice.
10. Availability and reliability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We will not be liable for losses caused by downtime, technical errors, or AI failures. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
- We are not liable for losses caused by third-party services (Stripe, Anthropic, Supabase, Resend, Vercel)
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Intellectual property
StudyTracker AI, its design, code, and branding are our intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via your settings. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
